Impulse #57 is an issue of the series Impulse (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 2000.

Synopsis for "A Plastic Christmas"

Plastic Man and Woozy Winks want to watch a Christmas movie at the JLA Watchtower, but their night is interrupted when Impulse arrives to deposit the remaining technoplasm.

Meanwhile, Mister Mxyzptlk is in Metropolis with a robotic Santa Claus, designed to ruin Superman's reputation. Since Superman is in space, Plastic Man heads down to deal with the threat, telling Impulse to go home. But Impulse goes to Metropolis anyway, and mistakenly believes that the robot Santa is the real Santa and Plastic Man has injured him.

Impulse helps the robot Santa deliver presents around the world until Plastic Man eventually catches up to him and explain the situation. They all teleport back to the Watchtower, and Mxyzptlk threatens to get revenge on the heroes who foiled his plot. But Woozy tricks Mxy into popping into his Christmas movie and saying his name. Woozy then rewinds the tape so Mxyzptlk says his name backwards and is sent back to the fifth dimension.

Bart returns home to find Max and Helen have given him a dog for Christmas.
