Justice League of America #109 is an issue of the series Justice League of America (Volume 1) with a cover date of February, 1974.

Synopsis for "The Doom of the Divided Man!"

Hawkman announces his resignation from the Justice League, as he and Hawkgirl are recalled to their home planet Thanagar. Before he can depart, however, Dr. Bruce Gordon and an injured Red Tornado interrupt the meeting. Kathy Sutton had secured for the android, in his John Smith identity, a position as Gordon's lab assistant, but during an experiment gone wrong, the villainous Eclipso had once more split off from Gordon — this time as three separate beings.

The Atom and Black Canary are joined by Aquaman (who had not attended the meeting) in stopping the first Eclipso in mid-Atlantic; Batman and Flash capture the second in Death Valley, and Hawkman, Green Arrow, and Elongated Man subdue the third in an airborne battle. Returning with their captives to the satellite, the super-heroes must face a giant incarnation of Eclipso, formed when the trio of Eclipsos merge into one. The day is saved by Batman's forethought in treating Eclipso's black-light gem weapon. When the villain tries to use it against the JLA, it sets off a light-burst that re-turns him to Dr. Gordon's body. With the menace ended, the members bid Hawkman farewell, and he and Hawkgirl return to Thanagar.
