Synopsis for "Such Dreams May Come"

Metron and Desaad's plan to rescue Darkseid from the Source Wall finally comes to fruition as they travel through time and space to trigger a transdimensional effect. The disturbance in the spacetime continuum alerts Takion, who finds the group at the Source Wall and witnesses the liberation of Darkseid from the Source. However, the hooded giant that previously encountered Metron interferes, revealing his identity and true intentions: Mars, the Roman God of War, who frees his greek counterpart, Ares, to merge both pantheons and sets his sights on the universe.

Meanwhile, on Earth, the Black Racer tells Verna Johnson that his paralyzed brother, William Walker, will die if he abandons him as his host.

Synopsis for "The Bargain"

On Apokolips, both Himon and Darkseid's scientists work on a race against time to create Element X. Wanting Element X to satisfy his own pursuit of knowledge, Metron makes a deal with Darkseid: Metron will receive Element X after its creation, as long as he harnesses it with his technology to serve Darkseid and betray New Genesis. Metron, who knows no loyalty, accepts Darkseid's terms.
