Following last issue's wrap-up of the Intergang plot began by Jack Kirby, the series gets a new creative team this issue. Following the Silver Age style adventures with Superman in this issue, Leo Dorfman and Kurt Schaffenberger would introduce the new, more independent Jimmy Olsen, also known for a time as Mr. Action, which would persist through the remainder of his solo adventures in this title and its successor Superman Family.
