Justin Valor was the son of Jon Valor, the British privateer known as the Black Pirate.
History
As a boy, Justin joined with his father on his adventures.[1]
Justin continued to fight at his father's side into adulthood. One day, the two Valors fought a gang of fake Conquistadors aboard a ship. During the battle, Justin was stabbed and fell into the ocean. He was presumed dead.
Five years later, Jon Valor discovered that his son had been rescued by Puritans and become one of them. Jon Valor later wished his son well as Justin sailed away to the New World.[2]
Justin Valor had at least one child, a son named Jack.[3]
Some time later, Jon Valor was summoned to his son's new home, Port O'Souls, where he was framed for Justin's murder and hanged.[4]

- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-Two era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and no longer apply.
- Justin Valor never assumed the Black Pirate identity or took a code name of his own, but he did wear a costume similar to his father's.
