King Arthur is a legendary king of the Britons, wielder of Excalibur. As a stock character, his feats and appearance are inconsistent, but he has always defended Camelot from the evil clutches of his half-sister Morgaine le Fey aided by his queen Guinevere, the wizard Merlin, and the Knights of the Round Table. He played an important part in the stories of Etrigan, Shining Knight and Silent Knight, and marginally in Aquaman and Madame Xanadu.
Arthur's mythos was first adapted by Rafael Astarita in New Comics #3 (1936).
