Kuraq was the planet not far from the Vega system on which the Omega Men kept their base of operations.
History
During the Crisis on Infinite Earths, the mad goddess X'Hal reached through the dying parallel dimensions and grasped six wildly different versions of the same planet, fusing them together into a new patchwork planet and trapping the angelic Omega Man Nimbus within its core. Although now trapped on the new Kuraq, Nimbus bonded to the planet and became its godlike protector. With Kuraq thus secured, the Omega Men made it their new base of operations and a haven for refugees of the Spider Guild invasion.
