The detective is told that Rose will be taken to County General Hospital but she is hauled away to a different location. As she awakens, Rose Forrest discovers that she has been abducted Dr Basil Shalock. Shalock explains that he is a former undertaker who wants to use a new method of treating corpses on Rose. Shalock administers gas to Rose but she is able to change into her alter ego Thorn before the gas takes effect. In the meantime Detective Stone discovers a suspicious ambulance sticker on a phone booth and surmises that they are not connected to any city hospital, he decides to investigate further. Back at Dr Shalocks residence Thorn is dealing with Dr Shalock and his henchman Bronto. Shalock shoots Thorn in the shoulder with a freeze gun but the henchman Bronto is also hit. Shalock then tries to immobilize Thorn on an electrified operating table but he falls on the table himself when Thorn shoves it up against his body. Once the ordeal is over, Thorn changes back into Rose Forrest just as detective Stone rushes in. Stone reveals that Shalock was a weirdo that wanted to turn human bodies into raw protoplasm.
