Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane #11 is an issue of the series Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane (Volume 1) with a cover date of August, 1959.
Synopsis for "The Leopard Girl of the Jungle!"
Lois Lane gets a surprise call from her rival Lana Lang asking to see her when she comes to visit Metropolis next. When Lana pays a visit to Lois she shows her the manuscript for a novel she wrote about a jungle woman and tells Lois that it's been rejected by the first publisher she showed it too on the grounds that it was "too fantastic". Hoping for Lois' professional opinion as a writer, Lana asks her to read it and give her advice. Lois is genuinely impressed with the story and tells Lana not to give up trying to find another publisher to release the book.
Later, Lois Lane is on location in Africa to interview famous explorer Dr. Albert Schweitzer. As they fly over the African jungle their planes motor dies and Lois is made to bail out right away. She crashes down into the jungle, banging her head and being struck with amnesia. The amnesiac Lois comes across a leopard caught in a leg trap and sets it free, making instant friends with the animal. When they spot a savage with a leopard skin, he sees Lois with the leopard and becomes frightened. As he flees he drops the leopard pelt which Lois fashions into a dress for herself to wear and takes his spear as a defensive weapon. She then goes about living in the jungle with the leopard pack that she has befriended.
When Lois is not heard from, Perry and Clark become worried about her, so Clark goes out to Africa as Superman to search for her. Finding her with the leopards and thinking they are attacking her, he fights off the pack and shakes Lois until her memory returns. When Superman is about to take her back to the States, she refuses to return home, choosing to continue living in the jungle. Knowing there are many dangers in the jungle, Superman decides to stay also and protect Lois from danger until she changes her mind.
After saving Lois from a rampaging elephant, a pack of gorillas, and a lake filled with alligators, Lois finally decides it's time to go home. She confides in Superman, telling him that she went through everything so that Lana's story would have more credibility if someone in real life was able to pull off the feats in her story. Superman is touched that Lois would go out of her way for her rival for his affections, however he is unaware of her self serving motivation: That it is also an attempt to make Superman love her more.

Synopsis for "The Tricks of Lois Lane!"
Perry White sends Lois Lane on assignment as a manicurist as part of a "women at work" series of articles for the Daily Planet. Before Lois goes, Jimmy Olsen enters and tells Perry that he has become a member of the Superman Fan Club and asks Perry to join.
As she is dealing with an annoyingly flirtatious customer, Clark Kent enters with a photographer to get a photo of Lois at work. When her customer shirks at getting his picture taken, Lois pushes Clark into the chair hoping to get the proof she needs that Clark Kent is really Superman when she finds that she is unable to clip Clark's fingernails. Quick thinking, Clark uses his x-ray vision to weld the clippers in the open position allowing for the picture to be taken without Lois getting her evidence. Lois is foiled, however she is not thrown off as she guesses what Clark might have done to throw her off.
While out with Clark and Jimmy to get photos of some artwork at the Metropolis museum, Lois purposely gets them locked in the safe hoping that Jimmy will use his signal watch to summon Superman and prove that Clark is really the Man of Steel. With the signal watch blaring, Superman attempts to summon one of his Superman Robots to come in his place, however it cannot leave without revealing itself to his landlord who is currently repainting Clark's apartment. His x-ray vision also notices a volcano erupting on a distant island and knows that he will have to do something. Quickly, Clark sucks all the air out of the room and burrows through the floor to get out of the safe. He deals with the volcano, cracks the safe, repairs the damage to the floor and quickly changes back to Clark Kent before Jimmy and Lois revive. Lois is still not unconvinced that Clark is really Superman.
Next while they are at the Metropolis Gardening Show, she bribes one of the gardeners to turn the hose on while Clark is walking around. With his clothes soaking wet, Lois suggests that Clark take off his outfit. Sure enough Clark does revealing a Superman costume underneath. However when Lois calls him on it, Clark asks Jimmy and Perry to take off their outer garments also, revealing that they too are wearing Superman outfits. Jimmy explains that as part of their initiation into the Superman Fan Club all applicants have to wear a Superman costume under their clothes for a week.
Still not convinced that Clark isn't Superman, Lois asks Clark to show up at the same time that Superman was scheduled to meet her at the Daily Planet. The next day in preparation, Lois has setup a gigantic electromagnet in the hopes that Superman will send one of his robots posing either as himself or Clark Kent and intends to catch it. However, when she sees what appears to be Superman carry Clark Kent, she activates the magnet and to her surprise nothing happens.
When Superman leaves, Lois apologizes for accusing Clark of being Superman and accepts her gift. As Clark muses how he tricked her with an inflatable balloon and some super-ventriloquism, she is shocked to find the gift is a Superman costume and a certificate naming her as a chartered member of the Superman Fan Club.
