Merry, Girl of 1000 Gimmicks is a Golden Age superhero who fought crime using a large collection of gadgets. Her adopted brother is the Star-Spangled Kid, and she worked with him and Stripesy for many years. Eventually she retired to marry Brainwave, and their son Brainwave, Jr. became a member of Infinity, Inc.. In her senior years she became a member of Old Justice. Her estranged daughter Jacqueline became Gimmix and died working with the Seven Soldiers. Merry was created by Otto Binder and Win Mortimer, first appearing in Star-Spangled Comics #81. (1948)
