Mister Atom was a robot created by Doctor Charles Langley, who unfortunately died when he gave life to his creation with radioactive energy. The robot was instilled with hostile intentions of ruling the world and becoming an enemy of the superhero Captain Marvel.

- Power Limitation: Atomic Blasts (and probably other powers) doesn't work on lead; Captain Marvel once imprisoned Mr. Atom in an underground lead cell.[1]

- This version of Mister Atom, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
- Mister Atom was originally a character from Fawcett Comics. He was leased by DC Comics along with the rest of the Fawcett Comics stable of characters in 1972.
