Quote1 Permit me to introduce myself ... I am Mr. Yesterday! This island belonged to my great-grandfather, who had the whim to keep things in the condition and style he loved best! His descendants still do so! And this lady answers to the name of Miss Danger! Quote2
Mister Yesterday src

Mister Yesterday was an enemy of the Blackhawk Squadron.

Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, an outright lunatic calling himself "Mr. Yesterday" maintained an island plantation with 19th-century equipment and practices, including slavery. He concealed this from the world with a vast stationary cloud cover of opaque gasses, with special properties. An escapee alerted the Blackhawk Squadron to this operation, and they sought it out, invaded it, and put an end to it. Yesterday himself was killed in a swordfight by Blackhawk. Before leaving this enclave, the Blackhawks destroyed the gas pumping apparatus, and called in officers of the International Peace Committee to take over.

Equipment

  • Mr. Yesterday's Vapor covered his entire island, to an altitude of several thousand feet. Contact with this vapor rendered men unconscious and made internal combustion engines inert. Miss Danger considered it a "20th Century" invention, but we are not told whose.

Weapons

  • Mr. Yesterday carried a bullwhip. His crew carried cutlasses, and operated an antique cannon.

  • Despite his elaborate replication of pre-Civil-War plantation life, all of Mr. Yesterday's slaves are White.
  • The source of Mr. Yesterday's powerful vapor is not explained, but seems to be some combination of volcanic gases.
