Olorun is the ruler of Heaven and the Supreme god of the Yoruba people in Nigeria. His emissaries are known as the Orishas.
History
Olorun was the first of the gods created by his mother goddess, Mawu, who embodied the land of Ife's life-giving consciousness. He appeared to prevent the Spectre and Shango from disturbing the peace of the Living Land of Ife when they started battling one another.
Powers and Abilities
Powers
- Immortality: As a god, Olorun is virtually immortal. He cannot be destroyed through conventional means, and he will never age.
- Elemental Control: Olorun can manipulate patterns of weather at a level that he can incapacitate both Shango and the Spectre in the middle of a fight.
