Synopsis for "Role Call, Part Three: Joke's on You"

As they battle the troops of Gorilla City, the heroes are forced to take extreme measures, threatening to kill some of the gorillas, to get Grodd to tell them why they've attacked. It transpires that they are doing so at the request of the Joker, who has used them to provide a diversion while he kidnaps and tortures the president, Lex Luthor. The heroes, joined by Jade, rescue Luthor, with the help of information provided by Thunder's father - Jefferson Pierce, formerly Black Lightning and now a member of Luthor's cabinet. Several days later, Jefferson makes it clear that Thunder does not have his blessing, while Batman gives his blessing to the group as a whole (now joined by Jade) and allows Nightwing to use the name Outsiders for the team.
