Ragman: Cry of the Dead (Volume 1) with a cover date of September, 1993.
Synopsis for "Child's Play"
After bringing the murder to the attentions of the authorities, Rory Regan (Ragman) again encounters Zipporah, a mysterious woman he met earlier. She buys him a coffee and reveals that she is a practitioner of Voodoo. Later, as Ragman, Rory is lurking in a cemetery reflecting on the rash of murders. Legba appears and reveals that he is an Oungan, a Voodoo priest. Rory accompanies Legba back to his friends, including the Mambo, Jean Lizotte. Rory reveals his encounter with the possessed man. They investigate the scene of the child’s murder and learn that the spirit of the child has gone to the Loa Marinette, a Voodoo spirit of power and violence. Later, the mother who murdered the child is attacked at the jail by the entity that Rory encountered previously, possessing various fellow prisoners. Rory, seeing the spirit has having a similar purpose to his own as Ragman, leaves the woman to the spirit’s vengeance. Rory meets up with Zipporah and the two sleep together. Meanwhile, the murders continue.
