The mysterious Mystery Man known as Rorschach kept a journal chronicling the events in his life as well as that of his fellow Minutemen.

History

Rorschach continued writing in the journal as late as October of 1985 when he began investigating the murder of former colleague Edward Blake, aka, the Comedian. Rorschach kept his journal in short-hand, which oddly enough, also reflected the way that he spoke to other people.

Rorschach's final entry in the journal was in late October and took place just prior to his ill-fated mission to Antarctica to confront his former colleague, Adrian Veidt. Before leaving, he anonymously submitted his journal to the The New Frontiersman, a right-wing publishing company. It is eventually revealed that The New Frontiersman found and published Rorschach's journal, but "It was ignored as most things in The New Frontiersman were at the time".[1] The man who found the journal, Seymour David, was beaten to death and a thief named Roger Jackson was convicted of the crime, though no evidence was found that he didn't do it.
