Sapphire King was an enemy of Black Condor.
History
When ghost ships began washing up along the docks of Sri Lanka (Ceylon), the Black Condor climbed aboard one to find its secrets. As he drifted out to sea, he followed a plume of black smoke raising to the sky with giant eagles circling above. It was this journey which led him to Dangerous Island, homeland to the pirate, Sapphire King.
The King captured several seamen, forcing them to dig for Sapphires, even if it met they would drown from the hungry waves, lapping around the deep pools, surrounding the island.
Though besieged by the Sapphire King's many guardsmen and giant eagles, the Black Condor was able to rescue several men, and defeat the King's reign.
