Jesus of Nazareth, also known as Jesus Christ and the Nazarene, is the son of God in Christian mythology.[1] His teachings began the religion of Christianity.
History
When Jesus was born, the Wrath of God was cast into Limbo because Vengeance and Forgiveness couldn't be on earth at the same time. After his death on the cross, the Spectre Force exploded out from Limbo and swept over the earth in full fury to punish humanity for his death until Archangel Michael stopped him. [2]

An angel of God visited Mary and told her that she'll give birth to a son and he shall be called the son of God and she will name him Jesus. When Mary was close to giving birth to Jesus, the Roman Emperor commanded every citizen to go to their homelands and register their names for the census. Mary and her husband Joseph went to Bethlehem to register their names. When they arrived in Bethlehem Mary was about to give birth to Jesus. They searched for a place to bare the child but every place was crowded so they had to lay the child in a manger. An angel of God appeared before a group of shepherds who were watching over their sheep and told them that their saviour Jesus Christ had been born in Bethlehem that night and the shepherds went to the manger to see Jesus. Three wise men followed a star and came to the land of Judea in search of the newborn king, they went to the palace of King Herod and asked where the king of the Jews is so they may worship him. Herod summoned the chiefs and asked about the newborn king and they told him about the prophecy about the messiah. Herod told the wise men to find Jesus and when they found him come back and tell Herod where he is so that he can also honour him. The Wise men followed the star and came to the manger and worshipped Jesus, an angel of God appeared and told them not to go to Herod again so they went to their lands from another route. King Herod was angry that the Wise men didn't tell him where the newborn king is, Herod commanded his soldiers to kill every newborn male baby in Bethlehem under the age of two so that Jesus will also die from that but an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and told him to flee to Egypt and he took his wife Mary and Jesus to Egypt and lived there until the death of Herod. After the death of Herod, they went to Judea again.
When Jesus was an adult he was baptised by John the Baptist. After his baptism, Jesus was guided by the Holy Spirit to go to the wilderness where he was tempted by Satan. Jesus overcame the temptation and Devil went away from him. After that he started his ministry by gathering twelve disciples and performing miracles, he allegedly turned water into wine, rose people from the dead, and cast demons out of them. He was crucified and died on the cross. On the third day, he rose from the dead. After some days Jesus went to Bethany and ascended into Heaven.[1]

When Jesus was born, King Herod ordered the Massacre of the Innocents, killing every child under the age of two in Bethlehem. This horrific event left a deep scar on the hearts of many, including one man who lost his son in the massacre. Years later, when Jesus was being tortured before his crucifixion, this man bribed a Roman soldier to exchange places with him. He wanted to take revenge for his son's death by whipping Jesus harder. However, when the man lashed at him, Jesus said, "tarry till I come again" to the man. After Jesus' death and resurrection, the man began to wander the earth, trying to find a way to remove the curse of eternal life that had been placed on him. He became known as the Phantom Stranger.[3]

The resurrection of Christ is later disproven by science. It's revealed that the Shroud of Turin proves he didn't die on the cross. This is determined using DNA information. The Catholic Church has been carefully guarding this secret for years, to protect their legacy and control the masses.[4]

Trivia
- The vampire named Azzarene drank Christ's blood while he was on the cross.[5]
- The unpublished Swamp Thing #88 would have prominently featured Jesus (referred to in the story only as "the magician" or "the Nazarene"). The story had Etrigan the Demon directly responsible for the Crucifixion, which has cosmic significance on par with the Crisis on Infinite Earths. This story is not part of any canon, but neither is it contradicted by New Earth continuity.
