Synopsis for "Jenny Dean Is Dead"
Cryptica Crimes Limited are very busy solving various cases, leaving only Jim Corrigan and Bug McGrew at the office. They are visited by a very distraught man called Roman Pike, who hires Corrigan to find the killer of his girlfriend, Jenny.
Corrigan sends McGrew to the crime scene in order to pick up some clues, while Corrigan coordinates the members of the team by phone. McGrew returns and gives what little information he could get to Corrigan, who goes through the recording of Roman once again in order to find some clue that would lead him to the killer.
At that moment, Corrigan unwillingly transforms into Spectre and the Spirit of Vengeance goes to the cemetery, where he reaches towards Jenny's corpse and contacts her in the afterlife with help from the Phantom Stranger. Jenny telss Spectre her version of her murder, which incriminates her boyfriend, Roman. However, Spectre also notices that although Roman killed her, Jenny has actually forgiven him and looks forward to be reunited with him, a wish Spectre is more than willing to fulfill.
Spectre returns to the office and before he fully returns to Corrigan's form, he tells the man the truth about Jenny's murder, much to Corrigan's shock. Moreover, Corrigan will meet again with Roman in just a few minutes and Spectre decides to remain in control of the body, as to deliver the proper punishment.
Roman enters the office and he is confronted by the horrific vision of Spectre, who follows Roman across the street as the man runs desperately trying to escape from the ghoul. Spectre creates a pit on the street, in which Roman falls and shoots himself out of desperation. Once the deed is done, Spectre returns to Corrigan's form, leaving him to deal with the corpse of the killer who hired him.
