Superboy (Volume 4) #45 is an issue of the series Superboy (Volume 4) with a cover date of November, 1997.

Synopsis for "Invaders from the Future"

A large spacecraft touches down outside The Compound. Superboy responds in his typical heavy handed approach and puts a dent into the side. He feels kinda silly when the door opens and out walks the Legion of Super-Heroes.

While most of the team is happy enough to see Superboy, Cosmic Boy is not in a good mood. He chides Superboy for giving away the Legionnaire flight ring they gave him when making him an honorary member, back when they were saving Valor.^[1] Cosmic Boy revokes the Kid's membership and turns his back on him. Triad, however, is more friendly, and gives the Kid a 30th Century costume that was made by Ferro. Triad is very interested in him, but SB points out that he has a girlfriend (although he still flirts with her in front of Tana). Dubbilex steps in with a message that Sam Makoa needs help at a museum. The Legion decides to help out, learning that Silver Sword is the culprit in question. SB and the Legion split into two man teams inside the museum.

Silver Sword manages to capture Cosmic Boy and Saturn Girl. SB and the rest confront him, and he mentions that someone is commanding his actions. Silver Sword puts Cosmic Boy and Saturn Girl in danger and starts to bring down the roof. He escapes with the Spear of Lona in the confusion.

Afterwards, Cosmic Boy reconciles things with Superboy and welcomes him back as a Legionnaire -- but makes him promise not to give away the ring this time.
