Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Gravity War"

Supergirl tries to stop Gravitron Man and Gravity Lord from killing each other and tearing Earth apart in the process, but they turn their gravity weapons on her. Still she notices her powers aren't functioning quite right, unaware that a disembodied being is attempting to murder her by disrupting them.

Meanwhile, the Doom Patrol is dealing with the chaos caused in London by Gravity Lord. Having found and read the villain's diary, they know about his hidden laboratory and power source located near from the Big Ben. They find the Gravity Lord's secret lab and watch a monitor recording the battle between Supergirl and the villain duo. Two members fly off to help her as the rest tries to figure out how to cancel Gravity Lord's power supply.

Negative Woman and Tempest help Supergirl break down Gravitron Man's weapon as Robotman and Celsius cut off his cousin's power supply. Supergirl turns in both villains to the police and bids the Doom Patrol farewell, but her mysterious enemy gloats that she isn't done with Supergirl yet.

Synopsis for Superman: "My Mother, Supergirl"

Superman continues the computer simulation where his parents were sent to Earth when Krypton exploded a generation earlier than it did in reality.

As a teenager, Superman's mother Lara Lor-Van (who was adopted by the Clarks and is known as Laura Clark) stops some bank robbers as Supergirl. Meanwhile, Superman's father Jor-El (who was adopted by the Kents and is known as Jack Kent) has ignored his physical superpowers but has used his mental powers to become a super-genius and inventor.

Laura and Jack are attracted to each other but when the Clarks find out, they break the news to Laura that she and Jack were found on the same spaceship and are presumably brother and sister. Laura is temporally heartbroken, but then she visits Jack to see if he can test if two people are related. Jack has invented a way to do that, and once the test shows Laura and Jack are not related, Laura tell Jack about their shared heritage (and that she is Supergirl), and now their romance can proceed (and the watching Superman assumes that even in this alternate scenario, he will still be born).
