Synopsis for Korak, Son of Tarzan: "The Gigantics"
Korak is carried off by a giant bird to a vast city in the clouds, whose inhabitants are giants themselves. He is brought there to be sacrificed, but the princess wants him as her own "toy." Knowing that Korak will be killed, she helps him escape and the king's hunter goes after them. To be continued next issue.

Synopsis for John Carter, Warlord of Mars: "Lights of Doom"
John Carter rescues a beautiful princess from imprisonment inside a huge emerald. Afterward, she explains to him how she came to be trapped inside the jewel. Suddenly, huge pterodactyls attack them, but the two are saved (?) as a blinding light captures them and they are drawn upwards by some unseen power, towards an alien craft hovering above.
Once on board the spacecraft, they listen to an unseen narrator who informs John that he will become a Messiah for Barsoom. Not wanting to be the alien's "Judas Goat," John retaliates. He grabs hold of some controls which causes the craft to take a nosedive to Mar's surface. John and the princess emerge from the crash and notice an ominous shadow looming over them, "foretelling of circumstances that would rival the imagination of a madman!"
Though this story is to be continued, it is not, and is left unresolved (see notes).

Synopsis for Carson of Venus: "Pirates of Venus"
Carson's first hunt for "Tarel" (cobwebs) begins in the lush forest with his guardian's son — Kamlot. The two climb up a tree only to find a Targo (giant spider) ready to protect its web. The spider goes for Kamlot first, and Carson hacks away at it with his sword. With the spider dead, Carson climbs back up the tree to find his companion very still and not breathing. Furthermore, Carson realizes he is now lost in the vast Venusian forest.
While Carson creates a mossy grave for his friend, Kamlot awakes, as it seems he's not dead after all, but was briefly paralyzed from the spider's venom.
The two head home through the forest and are attacked by flying furies (Klangan). The bird-men lasso the two with wire nooses and carry them to the sea, where a docked ship awaits for them in the harbor.

- The story "Lights of Doom" is left unresolved. This is the last appearance of John Carter (DC version). Warlord of Mars #1 would be published as a Marvel title in June 1977.
