Synopsis for "Blinded By The Light Part 1"
In Times Square, Cassie Sandsmark is chatting with Tim Drake about her relationship with her mom, Helena Sandsmark, when a mysterious villain injects herself on every communication device, announcing she took a whole school bus as hostage. Cassie, directed from distance by Tim, intervenes to make sure no one gets hurt.
Red Robin then starts investigating to the real matter behind this action, as he soon finds out by the villain herself that the target is revealing a secret research of S.T.A.R. Labs to the public, exposing them with a project that is soon going to escape their control. Coordinating the Titans, Tim sends Beast Boy inside the bus in stealth, trying to find information about the real plan of the leader of the kidnappers while Bunker is waiting outside the S.T.A.R. Labs facility where the bus is heading.
As the leader knows the mission is compromised, she triggers bombs attached to her subordinates and flees: as Cassie brings the explosives out of the bus and Miguel stops it from crushing into S.T.A.R. Labs, the Titans save the day but they are not able to track and discover the whereabouts of the mysterious girl.
One of the people they rescued then complains about being unlucky, as he was saved by two of the weirdest superheroes in New York (as one is a green metamorph while one is homosexual), enraging Bunker who tries to give him a lesson: as people around start recording the discussion with their phones, Gar suggests to Miguel to stop before he ruins his reputation.
Meanwhile, the mysterious kidnapper kills a guard and infiltrates inside the building site of S.T.A.R. Labs new, cutting edge facility in Governors Island.
