Synopsis for "One Brief, Shining Moment, Part 2"
While Manchester Black and Josiah Power talk about the possible death of Dr. Brooks, the man behind the terrorist attack prevented by the Titans in Manhattan, the team revels in a state of great popularity. While everyone seems to like their new resonance with the people of the Big Apple, especially Beast Boy and Bunker, Tim Drake is still doubtful about the real intentions of Black.
Gar takes the whole thing a step forward, starting to appear in a spot for comedy night in television. Raven also is strengthening her friendship with a metal band created in her name, Dark Mistress, but soon realizes their relation could be problematic as their songs trigger in her an emphatic reaction so strong that it influences all the people attending a concert: only with her intervention the crowd stops trying to take the stage. Wonder Girl is then featured in an video clip raging on the net, as a burglar with a camera on his glasses tried to steal in her apartment.
The only member of the team keeping away from the fans is Tim, who considers the whole thing a dangerous distraction to their job: facing evil and saving young metahumans. He confronts Black again, still trying to see if he knows something about the ultimate weapon S.T.A.R. Labs and former Nazi scientists developed as the outcome of Operation Paperclip. Manchester wants Tim to relax and stop being so tense and nervous, only to show him a live video of Superboy killing people.
