Synopsis for "S.M.A.S.H. of Two Worlds!"

The media reported on the sighting of the Thunderbolt, although they were unsure if Captain Future (who was promoted to the rank of colonel after his disappearance) was onboard or still alive. After S.M.A.S.H. watched the news in their HQ, Tom Strange declared that he was going off-planet to handle time anomalies, only for said anomalies to walk into their meeting room in the form of team members from the past, including the Fighting Yank, Ms. Masque, Captain Future, and a past version of the Ghost. The Fighting Yank accused the current S.M.A.S.H. members of being "Japanazi impostors" while the present-day Diana Adams viewed messages from both Carol and Tim before contacting the latter and noticed a twitch in his mouth while agreeing to meet with him, although she regretted doing so, afterwards.

The past and present versions of S.M.A.S.H. fought before the present Ghost convinced his 1940's counterpart to use his senses on him and learn that he and his teammates were who they claimed to be. However, after the 1940's version of Ghost ordered his teammates to stop, they all disappeared and the present-day version of Ghost pointed out that Captain Future remained silent and declared that he would learn why. After their meeting ended, Tom Strange returned to Princess Pantha and learned that his car had regressed again. In the car, he told her that he promised to the government that he would investigate Colonel Future's ship and later, he refused her help in the mission before she declared that she could take care of herself and asked him where the bedrooms were. Carol returned to her house, where she told Diana that she fought past versions of her father and her before the latter blonde told her that she was going to visit Tim.

Tim's secretary Elaine noticed a twitch in his mouth before she left and he went to a secret lab to have his mechanical brain operated on.
