Thunderer is the name of several characters from the DC Universe. Wandjina the Thunderer was a superhero member of the Assemblers able to control the elements of his world Angor. He is believed to be an actual god, but no one really knows. Wandjina was created as a pastiche of Marvel Comics' Thor, with his hammer replaced by a battle axe.
The New 52 introduced another Thunderer, a weather god of the Mowanjum people and the last survivor of Earth 7, who later joined the Justice Incarnate. His Earth 8 counterpart is named Wundajin, a warrior weather god and one of the most powerful members of the Retaliators. Like Wandjina, he is an homage to Thor. Thunderer is also the name of the horse of Lonar, a New God of New Genesis.
Wandjina the Thunderer was created by Mike Friedrich and Dick Dillin, first appearing in in Justice League of America #87 (1971). Thunderer the Horse was created by Jack Kirby, first appearing in Forever People #5 (1971). Wundajin created by Grant Morrison and Ivan Reis, first appearing in The Multiversity #1 (2014).
