Trinity was DC's third major weekly serial, after 52 (Volume 1) and Countdown (Volume 1). The focus was on the "trinity" of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman looking at the shared history between these characters and also this disparate group's place in the DC universe. The main narrative is also complimented by a back-up strip, which concentrates on other plot strands which weaves into the main story.
