Typhon is a name used by two unrelated characters in the DC Universe, a Lord of Chaos and a Greek dragon father of all monsters. The Lord of Chaos was an enemy of Doctor Fate, and the Father of Monsters, also known as Typhoeus, was the last of the many children of Gaia. He lived in Tartarus under Themyscira and the Temple of Gaia on Mount Olympus.

The Father of Monsters was adapted by Marv Wolfman, first appearing in New Teen Titans (Volume 2) #9 (1985). The Lord of Chaos was created by J.M. DeMatteis, first appearing in Doctor Fate #1 (1987).
