Vanessa Tremont was the attending head-nurse at Bradley High School in upper Manhattan, New York.
History
She was romantically involved with one of the instructors, John Ravenhair. Vanessa witnessed the spirit of John's bitter great-grandfather Bison-Black-As-Midnight-Sky take possession of his descendent transforming him into the super-villain known as Black Bison. Vanessa followed Black Bison to Central Park where she found him embroiled in a battle with the super-hero known as Firestorm. Vanessa's love for John gave him the strength to re-assert control over his physical form, enabling him to eschew all traces of his Black Bison identity.

- This version of Vanessa Tremont, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–86 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the Dark Crisis of 2022-2023.
