History

Volt Lord appeared sometime after the Crisis On Infinite Earths to attack Superman and Metropolis, going by the secret identity of Eric Courtney, who courted the currently widowed Lady Quark as she was grieving the loss of her husband Karak. She assumed that Eric was this universe's counterpart to Karak and temporarily stood by his side as he fought Superman and her companions Pariah and Harbinger. However, Lady Quark realized Eric's ruthless nature and stopped him for good, considering him an abomination of everything that her late husband stood for.
