Synopsis for Batman: "The North Pole Crimes"

A gang from Gotham City decides to leave town because of Batman's activities and they start working on northern areas such as Alaska, Greenland and even reach the North Pole. After every criminal activity, the gangsters would leave a snowman behind. The gang created a special hideout concealed as a big glacier.

A short time later, Batman and Robin are summoned to the GCPD Headquarters, where a man from the north tells them about the recent crimes. Commissioner Gordon asks Batman to investigate the case and using the Batplane, Batman arrives to one of the towns near the North Pole. Upon arriving, they are greeted by several members of the gang and the duo fight them back. However, they are knocked unconscious and after recovering from the attack, they realize that the gangsters have escaped. An old man called Cal and a photographer called Ray meet with Batman and Robin and update them with details about the criminals. That night, they learn that one of Cal's friends has been murdered and when they go to the crime scene they find a clue left by the late fellow. The clue pointed towards the glacier and Ray volunteered to show Batman and Robin the way towards the place.

During the travel, Ray betrays the vigilantes and leaves them in the middle of the snow and it is then revealed that he is working for the criminals. When Batman and Robin recover, they have to fight their way out of the vast emptiness that surrounds them. When Robin starts showing signs of freezing, Batman forces him to react using harsh words against him. It works, but not long after this, the sun rises, brightening the white snow around them. In a matter of minutes, the dynamic duo are snow blind and they are about to be attacked by a polar bear when they are saved by Cal's timely arrival.

A couple of days later, Batman and Robin recover their vision and after some investigations, they deduce that the criminal's hideout must be somewhere near the glacier. Batman prepares the townsfolk to tag along with them while Robin prepares the Batplane. The heat of the turbines causes one of the snowmen left by the criminals to melt and Batman discovers a shiny object. It is a box and inside of there's money. Batman spots Ray near the place and the coward photographer tells Batman the truth about his connection with the gangsters and how they paid him with money hidden in the snowmen. Ray also tells Batman everything about the gang's secret hideout and they prepare a plan of attack.

Robin destroy's the criminal's defense while Batman goes behind the leader of the gang, "Angles" Bigbee. After a brief stuggle, the ice beneath them breaks and Angles falls to the freezing water where he meets his ultimate demise.
