Synopsis for "Chasing the Fever Dream"

Walton owes a gangster, Mr. Shark, some money. But when he is told that his payment is late and Mr. Shark wants to see him personally, a frightened Walton kills one of Shark's lackeys and flees. Meanwhile, Edward Raymond arrives in Los Angeles and meets his reporter friend, Jody, hoping to find Walton and retrieve the serum he needs to save his wife.

Synopsis for "Pretty Teeth"

Edward and Jody arrive at the home of Mr. Shark and learn that Walton borrowed money from the gangster to develop a non-addictive pain killer called Venom-X. However, the new drug has some unusual side effects - giving the user increased strength and snake-like skin. Mr. Snake decides he wants the Venom-X for himself and tells his men to get rid of Edward and Jody while he searches for Walton.

Synopsis for "Fear City"

Firestorm rescues his dad and Jody from Mr. Shark's men and quickly heads over to the home of Walton's girlfriend, Brittany Drake. After injecting his girlfriend with the Venom-X, Walton tells her that he's going to hide-out at the snake house in the Los Angeles Zoo.

Synopsis for "Serpentine"

Mr. Shark finds Walton at the Los Angeles Zoo but Walton no longer fears Mr. Shark and kills him. Just then, Firestorm, Edward, and Jody make it to the zoo where they see Walton scrambling up the hillside to the Griffith Park Observatory. Firestorm follows Walton but as he rounds the corner of the observatory Walton Sprays him in the face with Venom-X.

Synopsis for "The Desert in Men's Souls"

While under the effects of Venom-X, Firestorm has a fever dream where he is taunted by Venom. Firestorm manages to escape from the dream and stagger back to Edward and Jody at the Los Angeles Zoo with the serum in hand.
