History

Overview

Five Years Later was the continuity of the Legion of Super-Heroes that ran from 1989-1994, taking place Five Years after the Magic Wars and the ending of Legion of Super-Heroes (Volume 3),[1][2] and running until Zero Hour.[3] The majority of this period was largely influenced by the temporal alterations of the villainess Glorith,[4] which introduced drastic changes from what is commonly known as Legion history. Although the Legion active during this time period has recently been introduced into continuity after Infinite Crisis during the Lightning Saga,[5] the most recent incarnation takes the Legion from around the time of the Crisis on Infinite Earths, rendering the entire Five Years Later period, the events of the Five Year Gap, and even many events beforehand[6] apocryphal.
