Synopsis for "The Doomed Scarecrow!"

The Flash has been asked by Mammoth Pictures to help them with a movie based on the adventures of the Flash. After an interview with Iris, who is out in Hollywood covering the story, she leaves to call Barry Allan to come out and have lunch with her and the Flash, forcing the Flash to speed home in order to answer the phone and cover for himself.
Back on the set, the Flash reviews footage of a scene where he doubled for the star of the film, Steve Palmer, during a scene involving shots being fired at a scarecrow. Deducing there is somebody trying to kill Palmer, the Flash asks that the next scene he fill in for Palmer through the whole shoot. When he is trapped in a mine, the Flash manages to escape unscathed.
Later he is clubbed and bound by Palmer, who was behind everything in an illaborite ruse where Steve hoped to eliminate the Flash and take his place, and live off the lucrative advertising he could make as a spokes person. When the crooks are distracted by Iris West knocking on the trailor door, the Flash breaks loose and knocks out all the crooks and turn them over to the police. Later the Flash changes back to Barry Allen in order to be "on time" for their date.
