Synopsis for "Run Riot, Part One: Awakened"
Gregory Wolfe continues delaying Hunter Zolomon from meeting with Peek-a-Boo. In reality, he's delaying so that his guards can complete the orders to beat and drug her so that she won't talk and free herself from his control. Iron Heights Penitentiary is assaulted by Gorilla City paratroopers. As a result of the attack, the power goes out and Peek-a-Boo teleports out of her specially designed cell. In Keystone City, Wally West and his wife, Linda Park, are in bed discussing her recent pregnancy when the phone rings. It is Detective Morillo, calling to tell Wally about the attack on Iron Heights. Wally tells the detective to keep everyone clear of Iron Heights and he heads out there at super speed.
Zolomon is hurt by a gorilla and as Gregory Wolfe attempts to cause muscle spasms in a gorilla, Grodd psychically attacks Wolfe stopping him from aiding Zolomon. Flash runs to the prison and starts fighting the invading gorillas. He discovers the gorillas are under psychic control.
In the prison infirmary, Flash tells Gregory Wolfe that the gorillas are being psychically controlled by Gorilla Grodd to break him out of the prison. Wolfe tells Wally he's not one of the bad guys and Flash is dubious of Wolfe's intentions.
Flash goes to prevent the gorillas from breaking out Grodd, but finds they have already broken out all the criminals on that level, to serve as a distraction for Flash. Flash begins fighting them all and Gorilla Grodd gets free of his cell. Grodd is explained to have a superiority complex and as Grodd escapes claims there is no "we" in rogues, there is only "Grodd".
