The Fly is a name used by several vigilantes with insect-like powers. Thomas Troy was the original Fly, published by MLJ Comics. Their company was eventually bought out by DC Comics and they began publishing a new series following Jason Troy's adventures in the Impact Universe. Finally a version of the character was introduced into mainstream DC Universe continuity as part of the Red Circle event. He has been associated with the Mighty Crusaders and the Web. The Fly was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, first appearing in The Double Life of Private Strong #1. (1959)
