Synopsis for "The Kingdom of the Damned!"

The Forever People are taken to Happyland, an amusement park run by DeSaad, who tortures them in various inventive ways there. Darkseid searches for a mind which can comprehend the Anti-Life Equation. And the Forever People's Mother Box, about to be executed by Desaad, phases out and winds up in the hands of martial artist Sonny Sumo.

  • With this issue, the format of the series changes. The cover price increases from 15¢ per copy to 25¢ per copy, and the page count increases to 52 pages per issue. The additional pages features a Sandman back-up tale, reprinting Golden Age stories originally published in Adventure Comics.

  • "The Amazing Dreams of Gentleman Jack" was originally titled "The Unholy Dreams of Gentleman Jack". The story was first printed in Adventure Comics #85.
