Forever People (Volume 2) #2 is an issue of the series Forever People (Volume 2) with a cover date of March, 1988.

Synopsis for "From Earth to Forever!"

Donald Bergman, a horror writer, is haunted by The Dark during his dreams. Suddenly he sees five figures of light turning into a woman, taking the shadows away with her light. Donald's wife, Nancy, wakes him up and encourages him to see a psychiatrist so he can talk about these recurrent nightmares he's having. But Donald refuses, saying the only way to get over those nightmares is to get over his creative block.

After the attack of The Dark in Forevertown, the Forever People wakes up in Adon. But they are as young as when they first arrived. Beautiful Dreamer is not pregnant anymore, and Mark Moonrider's family is gone. This scene shocks and confuses them, and Mark attacks Serifan demanding an explanation as to where are Forevertown and his family. To their surprise, Vykin emerges from the forest, and the team reunites in a momentarily joyful moment, rendering Vykin confused since he doesn't know he died. Suddenly a woman emerges from a blast of light and presents herself as Maya, sent by Highfather to take them to their true home. She explains the Dark's attack reverted time all around Adon, and even though they remember all of it, it's like it never happened. The group separates, and Serifan has a talk alone with Maya. Serifan knows who she really is, but Maya asks him to keep the secret from the others.

Meanwhile on Earth, Donald Bergman meets a mysterious Mr. Knight, presenting himself as a big fan of his books, but this man is no other than The Dark in disguise, and he has plans for Donald.

Maya takes the Forever People to Earth, in the year 1988. The group splits. Mark walks away to be alone, Beautiful Dreamer walks away upset and Big Bear follows her, leaving Maya alone with Vykin and Serifan. The trio disappears, and the Dark materializes behind them.
