Synopsis for "Forever's End?"

Mr. Knight tries to convince Donald Bergman to get back into writing horror books, but Donald wants to write another type of book, about "five magical beings who come into the life of a little boy and his uncle" to bring hope. But Mr. Knight doesn't like that idea, saying there is no such thing as hope and that there are no magical beings to save and uplift humanity. Donald walks out of Mr. Knight's department.

Back in the city, Beautiful Dreamer encounters the little girl she saw at the park earlier. The girl, The Dark in disguise, takes the form of Mark Moonrider in an effort to trick her into joining them. Big Bear arrives just in time to make her realize it's just an illusion. The shadows are dispersed, only to reveal that Mark was real, and he is now being controlled by The Dark. Mark destroys a building with his Megaton powers, and some fallen debris hit Dreamer. Angry, Big Bear jumps into a ferocious fight with Mark. Big Bear bests his opponent and is ready to deal the finishing blow, but he stops and realizes he's fighting his friend. Taking advantage of that moment of doubt, Mark incapacitates Big Bear.

Back in Donald's apartment, the writer is still having a creative crisis. His wife, Nancy, tries to soothe him, but her words only make him angrier, to the point of shouting and insulting her. Nancy slaps him and runs out of the house, upset. Feeling guilty and ashamed, Donald tries to stop her, but Mr. Knight materializes in the apartment and manipulates the writer into getting back to write his horror book, saying that he's his muse.

Mark stands proud over the defeated Beautiful Dreamer and Big Bear, but Vykin, Serifan, and Maya appear at the scene to subdue him. But Mark is not alone. The Dark has a big army of human agents coming at them, with Fyre in the front line. Serifan and Vykin are no match for the numerous army, and the Forever People are all taken away to Castle Dark. But Maya is still free, and she escapes to another dimension.
