History

The Futurist Militia was a group formed by rogue NSA Director Robbins to create good P.R. for the Freedom Fighters. The group appeared in Washington, D.C. demanding to face the Freedom Fighters and began spouting anti-America rhetoric. Ray noticed that they seemed to be playing to the cameras but before anyone could do anything about it a drunken Phantom Lady appeared on the scene. She used her blacklight rays to cut the Thunderer in half, instantly killing him. The whole incident took place in the presence of the press. The Militia quickly retreated but the Freedom Fighters faced the media's outcry at Phantom Lady's actions.
