Synopsis for "The War Within a War"
A German man named Franz is married to a Jewish woman, and as a result, is placed inside of a concentration camp. In civilian life, Franz was a stage entertainer known as Mr. Memory, due largely in part to the fact that he has perfect recall of anything that he reads or has ever read. While in the camp, a fellow prisoner named Hans gives him the Nemesis file, a document containing a list of important Nazi officers and their plans to flee the country should Germany go to war. Franz escapes from the camp and reunites with Frieda, but the S.S. are hot on his trail. Orders come down to the Haunted Tank crew to find Franz and Frieda and protect them at all costs. Jeb doesn't really understand the order, but follows it nonetheless. They finally come across the two refugees in France, but S.S. Colonel Staffel engages in a firefight with Jeb's men. During the conflagration, Franz is injured and loses his memory. While the Haunted Tank trades cannon fire with Staffel's panzers, Franz wanders out onto the battlefield. Picking up a gun, he contemplates taking his own life, but a bolt of lightning strikes the gun, sending a great shock to Franz' system. Franz regains his memory and after the battle is over, he is able to tell the Allies everything he recalls concerning the Nemesis file.
