Gen 13 #2 is an issue of the series Gen 13 (Volume 1) with a cover date of March, 1994.

Synopsis for the 1st Story

Fairchild, Grunge, Roxy, Bobby, fellow Gen 13 Sarah Rainmaker, and ex-Keeper Tom Hallinan flee through the desert from Project Genesis troopers called Keepers. Under Hallinan’s leadership, they stop and fight back with their superhuman abilities.  The stress of combat triggers Roxy’s power to manipulate gravity so Grunge nicknames her Freefall.  They fight off the Keepers and take one prisoner.  Fairchild recalls how the group escaped from the Genesis compound, chased by Bliss and the Keepers.  Hallinan explains that the program’s real purpose is to recruit and train superhuman combat operatives.  He then uses his powers to murder their prisoner and demands the others follow him back to the compound to take down the program.  Fairchild refuses and stays behind.  Once the group returns, Hallinan leads them into a trap, revealing himself to be Threshold in disguise.  The entire escape was a test of their abilities.  The next morning, Caitlin walks through the desert until she senses Roxy in pain.  She picks up one of the fallen Keepers’ guns and plans to rescue the others.
