George Taylor is a top journalist and editor-in-chief at the Daily Star. He hires Clark Kent in his first reporter job, making him a friend and ally to Superman. Despite Taylor's prominence during the Golden Age, his position in continuity was later replaced by Perry White of the Daily Planet. George Taylor was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, first appearing in Action Comics #1. (1938)
