An Alpha-Probe is a device utilized by the L.E.G.I.O.N.. Its function is to seek out potential client worlds in unexplored sectors of space.
Amnesia Sphere
An amnesia sphere is a flying device approximately the size of a small house fly. It was developed by Ivy University professor Horace McByrd based on electro-field theories first developed by Ray Palmer. McByrd used the sphere's against Palmer to make him appear absent-minded so that he might improve his own standing within the scientific community. [1]


Anti-Gravity Ray
A common device amongst alien cultures and potential intergalactic conquerors, this handheld weapon projects a field of energy that negates gravity within its field of range.

Bat Anti-Shark Repellent
Seen only in the 1966 Batman movie, this simple aerosol can proved effective towards warding off pesky killer sharks.
Black Ray Gun
The Black Ray gun was an item used by Sandra Knight, the original Phantom Lady during the 1940s. It projected a conical wave of black light that could be used to confound opponents and obscure Phantom Lady's presence.

Dimensional Transmitter
The Dimensional Transmitter was a computerized monitor designed by S.T.A.R. Labs scientists Silas and Elinore Stone. It enabled one to open a veritable window into other planes of existence. Through an accident involving microwave transmission, the Stones inadvertenly brought an alien spore into the lab. The entity killed Elinore and greviously injured her son Victor. Silas survived the encounter, but exposure to the creature gave him cancer. Later, the Fearsome Five forced Silas Stone to use his transmitter to reconstitute a physical form for their fallen member Psimon. [2]

Flower of Wrath
The Flower of Wrath was an ancient Martian torture device. One of these devices was located in the old colony citadel known as Z'onn Z'orr. When a group of White Martians calling themselves the Hyperclan battled the JLA, they imprisoned them inside the Flower of Wrath and subjected them to unspeakable torture.

Gamma Metal Gong
The Gamma Metal Gong was an object used by Kanjar Ro . Sounding the gong emitted vibrations that temporarily paralyzed every human being on Earth. Kanjar Ro blackmailed the Justice League of America into helping him take over other planets or else he would Earth’s populace paralyzed forever. [3]

Jet Pack
A Jet Pack is a small rocket engine attached to a harness that can be worn across the back. The jets use escaping gases such as hydrogen peroxide from the engine that enable the wearer to fly. Such devices can also be fastened to a belt with one jet on each hip. Jet Pack’s were ideal means of transport for early planetary explorers such as Adam Strange and Captain Comet.

Laser Monocle
The Penguin once possessed a special monocle equipped with a laser lens. It was his intent to use it to escape from prison, but the monocle was stolen by Deadshot who used it to secure his own release. [4]
Lustrometer
A Lustrometer is a device of Thanagarian origin. It's function is similar to that of a Kirlian camera in that it can record information by way of electromagnetic energy or high voltage. [5]

Matrix Distributor
The Matrix Disruptor is a device created by the Dominators and was used to dispel the Swamp Thing's astral essence, casting him into the timestream. [6]
Matter Distributor
A futuristic device, the Matter Distributor was used by the Reverse Flash to alter his features, making him resemble his 20th century counterpart, the Flash. [7]
Merlin's Magic Wand
This was actually a scientific device used by an alien from the inter-dimensional realm known as Magic Land. This version of Merlin’s Wand was capable of transmutating matter and people into different objects (Not to be confused with mystical artifacts attributed to Merlin of Arthurian legend, nor of the Merlin character from Camelot 3000). [8]
Mind-Tapper
The Mind-Tapper was a small hand-held device which could be used to aversely affect the higher brain functions on living beings. It was one of many highly advanced devices used by the Fearsome Five member Gizmo.
Mind Scrambler Ray
A Mind Scrambler Ray was used by the Black Manta to disrupt Aquaman's control over sea-life.[9]

Neural Disruptor
As its name implies, a neural disruptor destabilizes the neurons in a person’s body. It was one of many highly advanced devices used by the Fearsome Five member Gizmo. Gizmo used his neural disruptor to incapacitate the Titan known as Cyborg. [10]
Nuke-Bomb
Similar to an atypical nuclear weapon, a Nuke-Bomb is a missile employed by the Gordanians. They used one to destroy the city of Sharll on the planet Changralyn. [11]

Planetary Shield
This is an electronic device that projects an ever-widening conical wave of energy that, at full capacity, will surround an entire planet, protecting it from hostile invaders. In many cases, the shield itself is a sphere of electromagnetic energy, though in other instances, a physical structure may also be required. These sort of planetary defense systems are similar in function to Dyson spheres. The planet Euphorix in the Vega star system had such a planetary shield, and it is the only thing that kept them safe from the conquering Citadel empire.
Pyro-Tranq Dart
This is a custom designed tranquilizer dart that functions similarly to that of a flare. Developed by criminal scientist Doctor Sivana, it proved to be an instrumental weapon in the premeditated murder of the Martian Manhunter. [12]

Rocket Gun
Invented during the 1940s by lieutenant governor Morgan (the Hooded Hunchback), this item fired large torpedos outfitted to contain human prisoners into outer space. One of the Hunchback’s rockets could travel from New York to California in under three hours. [13]

Sky Cycle
A Sky Cycle is a one-man conveyance capable of low altitude atmospheric flight. Maximum velocity and surface ceiling varies depending upon the model and level of technology. Sky Cycles are most commonly seen in futuristic venues, but some modern day adventurers have been known to use them as well.
Solar Bomb
A solar bomb is a timed explosive device which projects waves of intensified ultraviolet radiation. The solar bomb was invented by scientist Doctor Bruce Gordon and was one of several light-based weapons that he employed in his never-ending battles with the demon Eclipso.
Sonic Scoop
The sonic scoop was an elaborate weapon used by the Fisherman against Aquaman. It fired titanium cables that would vibrate with such intensity that they could tear apart anything they came into contact with. [14]
Star Diamond
The Star Diamond was a large, diamond-shaped prison chamber located on a space vessel owned by the warlord of Dryanna, Carthan. Carthan imprisoned the Justice League of America inside the Star Diamond until they were freed by their newest member Green Arrow. [15]
Stealthray
The Stealthray was a prototype experiment developed by Alec Rois for Lockleed Aircraft. It was designed to teleport large volumes of matter across remote distances and was intended to be developed for the military. After Rois was fired from Lockleed for mental instability, he became the Ghost and attempted to retrieve the Stealthray prototype. The prototype was destroyed by Captain Atom. [16]
Stimuluck Device
This was a device invented by Amos Fortune to stimulate the “luck glands” found in the human body. [17]

T

T-Phone
The T-Phone is a cellular telephone used by members of the third incarnation of the Teen Titans. It is distinguised from traditional cell phones because it is in the shape of the letter "T". [18]
Time Decelerator
The Time Decelerator is an alien artifact sought after by the Scavenger in his first confrontation with Aquaman. [19]

Wheel of Fortune
Also known as the Wheel of Misfortune, this over-sized standing wheel was invented by criminal mastermind Amos Fortune. He once captured the Justice League of America and attached them to the wheel in the hopes that the device would destroy their "luck glands". [20]
