Synopsis for "Corrigan, Part One"
Renée Montoya and Crispus Allen walk out of a restaurant and spot five suspicious looking men pulling out their guns and walking into a building. They call for back-up and move in immediately to stop the men. In the process, they cuff three of the men, and two are shot. They learn the Black Spider is one of them. The Black Spider pumps Renee's bullet proof vest with led. As he approaches the fallen Renee for a kill-shot, Allen steps in and empties his clip into the Spider, killing him.
Later, Esperanza arrives and takes a statement from Allen on what happened at the scene of the crime. He takes Allen's gun as procedure but assures Allen that there's nothing to worry about. The lead technician on the case is Jim Corrigan, who cleans up bullets from the walls. He grabs one particular bullet and smiles as he puts it in evidence. The ambulance arrives and carts away the four dead bodies. Two of the men who had been handcuffed were shot during the commotion.
At the hospital, Daria isn't allowed to see the injured Renee as she's not considered family, even though she is her lover. Esperanza sees this and helps make amends for his earlier wrong-doings by taking Daria back to see Renee since he has authorization to see Renee.[1] Renee has several broken ribs from the gun fight and absorbing hits in her bullet-proof vest.
Back at the station, the fifth surviving man points at Allen and states he was the one who shot his friends. Esperanza moves to take the fifth man's statement who is accompanies by a cut-throat lawyer.
At his house, Jim Corrigan is sitting at his desk auctioning a bullet that killed the Black Spider on the internet site, iBid.
