Synopsis for "Half A Life, Part Three"
Nelson Crowe and Jackson Davies are called in for a murder investigation. They're confused as M.C.U should not have been called for a standard homicide. Detective Crowe tells them it was a courtesy notification. The body is identified as Marty Lipari. The weapon is identified as Renée Montoya's. Crowe makes some disparaging remarks about Montoya and her love life and shows them a bag of drugs that was found.
Renée Montoya walks around her apartment and finds packages of drugs stuffed in her various locations. She finds her spare gun is missing as well. Suddenly, there is a knock on the door and someone states there's a warrant to search her apartment.
Esperanza and Matt Conway force Renee into a 'perp-walk' through the squadroom which infuriates Crispus Allen. Esperanza makes a snide remark about busting Harvey Bullock and that some cops are just crooked.
Daria is pulled into the station. She tells them about the altercation Montoya had with Lipari. Esperanza conjectures that Renee killed Lipari to protect Daria. He says he was a rapist and recommends Renee take a plea agreement. Renee turns it down and Esperanza places Montoya under arrest.
Allen visits Montoya later and tells her she should have told him about her lesbian secret. She said it was hard as she used to partner with Harvey Bullock and being queer wouldn't have gone over so well. She thinks Two Face is setting her up.
