The Great Divide is the name given to a massive bottomless pit located in the continent of Atlantis. It is several leagues outside of the capital city of Poseidonis and is rumored to be bottomless. The Great Divide serves a burial ground for Atlantean nobility. The former Atlantean king Thessily was laid to rest here after falling prey to a seaquake. Deep within the Great Divide is a swirling pool of energy that leads to the home dimension of Mera. Aquaman and Dolphin once entered the rift in an effort to rescue Mera from the clutches of Thanatos. ^[1]
