Synopsis for "The Beast"

The Sector Houses of the Green Lantern Corps are being destroyed. The appointed Green Lanterns of those houses have gone missing and their power rings are not returning to Oa. Word of the incident reaches the Guardians through Salaak and they decide to send Guy Gardner to take care of the being responsible for destroying the Sector Houses, a creature known as Gigorr. Without his usual team, Guy gathers a team of Green Lanterns he deems up to the mission. Eventually Guy and his team come face to face with the creature and one by one, his team members were consumed by the creature. With only Green Lantern Theodoric left to aid him, Guy decides the only way to destroy the creature is to allow it to consume them and destroy the creature from within. There, they discover the bodies of the missing Green Lanterns as well as the rest of his team already in the process of decomposing. The power rings of their fallen Lanterns are still embedded within the creature’s belly. Guy uses the power of the missing rings to finally destroy the creature. In the end, Guy and Theodoric are the only ones to return from the mission.
