History

The Green Lantern Honor Guard is an elite group of Green Lanterns not restricted to one Sector. They are based on Oa.

The first Honor Guard consisted of Tomar-Re, K'ryssma and Apros.^[1]

Years later, after the rebirth of the Corps, Guy was appointed as Honor Guard, serving as a flexible trouble-shooter, aiding any sector in need and has also served in a leadership role during battle.^[2] Kyle Rayner was later added to the Honor Guard after he passed on his duties as Ion.^[3]

John Stewart, Soranik Natu, Ganthet, Hannu, Boodikka were promoted to Green Lantern Honor Guard after they freed the Grendians and Alpha Lanterns from Cyborg Superman.^[4]
