Synopsis for "Yellow Is the Color of Fear!"
Krista, the newest member of the Green Lantern Corps, gets stranded in the desert planet of Sikarra. Unable to protect herself against the yellow sandstorm, she gets attacks by a giant monster lurking beneath the sand. Just before being swallowed by the creature, Krysta manages to send a distress signal. Hal Jordan sees the emergency call, and heads immediately to her rescue. He enters through the monster's mouth and finds her affected by some yellow poison secreted by the beast. Hal takes her out of Sikarra and heads to Oa, hoping to find medical help for her.
However, there's a dire situation brewing in Oa, because Lanterns Eddore, Kaylark, and Galius-Zed are accusing the Guardians of betraying them, hiding an advance model of their Power Rings that are effective against the color yellow, thus endangering the lives of the Corps members. Simultaneously, Hal arrives with the injured Krista, and when Galius learns that she was endangered by a yellow sandstorm and yellow poison, he snaps and attacks the Guardians, demanding those secret rings. Hal interferes, but Kaylark finds the advanced rings inside the Central Power Battery. Two of the rogue lantern escape from Oa, leaving Galius Zed to fight Hal Jordan with the advantage of the improved ring. Hal resists his attacks, but Galius overpowers him, saying he won't be dictated by the Guardians again.

Synopsis for "Green Magic, Test of Will! Part Two"
Hollika Rahn comes blasting through the Ministry of Science airfield looking for her friend Mikkin. Inside, Tahrk helps the little Mikkin escape, and together they get into an aircraft to lure Holli away from the attackers. Hours later, they get to a remote island, and Tahrk says he wants to join Holli and help her. Mikkin then explains that his sneaking behind Holli's back to betray her was just a facade to get captured and find Tahrk, which was also one of the Guardians' idea. The Guardian appears, and asks Hollika if she wants to continue on her quest and face more severe tests, and Holli accepts, following the steps of her adoptive mother.
